Established by Charles and Edith "Elvira" Adamson in 1970, the couple started the business as a detailing and used car business.

Since 1980 the company then evolved into a towing company in downtown Corydon on the creek. Charlies then moved up the hill outside of downtown Corydon when they bought Blue River Auto in 2007. In 2012 Charlies bought and renovated the BP gas station across the road and moved the wreckers across the intersection to be Charlie's 24 Hr Towing, while keeping the used car sales on the other side.

During this time Charlies also moved and set mobile homes from the late 1990s until 2012. 

We have become masters of our trade. A small company that started off with 3 trucks at number 20 has now grown to 17 trucks, up to number 118, 4 trailers, 2 fenced in secure lots, a storage lot, and several pieces of specialized equipment ready for the tasks at hand.  Our commitment to quality products, exceptional services and incomparable customer care keep our community coming back again and again.
